Artichoke at the Skirball

July 23, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm UTC-7

This Highland Park–based band performs lively indie rock tunes that blend infectious pop melodies with whimsical lyrics.

Founded in 1998, Artichoke has produced numerous albums exploring everything from scientists, ecology, and zoology—they’ve got a whole record devoted to bees—to the people and history of Highland Park. On guitar and vocals, Timothy Sellers leads singer and tambourine wielder Lydee Walsh, guitar wrangler Carl Urbinati, drummer Ty Key, and bassist Chet Johnston. The ensemble has delighted festival, museum, and school audiences across the city with their growing roster of offbeat, upbeat tunes.

Two show times: noon & 2 pm

Admission – Included with Museum admission
