This one is killing me! It is a rare bank-owned property in Westchester. What happened to the poor family that lived here? There is no way that a Westchester property should be foreclosed on in our current environment. If you know any family that is in distress with their property, please ask them to contact me. A good realtor (particularly a hard-charging lawyer/realtor) can work with a bank to get more time to get a property sold. This family got zero with a foreclosure, when they likely had equity in the property. Having said this, the property is currently in escrow as an REO, but the bank (as owner) will take back-up offers. This 3/2 in the heart of Westport Heights will cashflow as a rental at this price OR make for a nice profit on a rehab. It’s too late to help the family who lost this home, but it’s not too late to turn this property into a nice moneymaker for you. Drop me a note to tour ASAP.

This property is a rental with an out of area owner who brought her out of area realtor to list it for sale. If you read this column regularly, you know where this story is going. The property is grossly overpriced and has been sitting on the market for over 100 days. That doesn’t happen in Westchester with correctly-priced properties.
