1. Westchester Arts & Music Block Party
If you haven’t been to WAM yet, you’re in for a treat! WAM is a free day-long community event benefiting Westchester’s Emerson Avenue Community Garden. You’ll find artisans, live music, dance, art, garden tours, community oganizations, food trucks and a wine & beer garden.
WPNS is offering supervised childcare so parents can enjoy the party kid-free. Don’t delay. RSVPs for childcare go fast, as you can imagine – reserve here.

2. Broad Fest
An annual community festival in Santa Monica offering music, a live DJ, dance lessons and other family-friendly activities. Find the talent line up here.

The Eli & Edythe Broad Stage — 1310 11th St. Santa Monica CA 90401. Parking is free.
3. Fiesta Hermosa
Another annual festival, this one in the South Bay in downtown Hermosa Beach. Called the “Largest Arts & Crafts Fair in Southern California” with 300 artists, this event also offers a kiddie carnival, pony rides, live music, food court and wine & beer garden.

Hermosa Beach on Pier Plaza, Hermosa Ave & lower Pier Ave
Free shuttle bus service from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm from the Northrop Grumman parking lot at the SW corner of Aviation & 33rd Street in Manhattan Beach.
4. Coast Santa Monica
Two miles of Santa Monica streets closed to cars and open to people to bike, skate, scoot, run, walk and roll. Decorating all modes of transportation is encouraged and there is a contest celebrating creativity and innovation.

5. Coastal Cleanup Day
Coastal Cleanup Day is the world’s largest volunteer day to protect our environment. Volunteers from all over the world will do their part to clean local beaches, rivers, creeks and parks. This year, Heal the Bay is celebrating its 30th year coordinating Coastal Cleanup Day in LA County. Come party at WAM after!

6. Urban Kids Fishing Derby
Urban American Outdoors TV hosts its 4th Annual Urban Kids Fishing Derby Los Angeles at Kenneth Hahn State Park for kids ages 7-15. This free fishing event offers prizes, including a $100 prize to the biggest catch of the day! With only 250 spots available, you may want to pre-register on this page.
