Santa Monica Cinema On The Street – Airplane!” – the 1980 classic Zucker Brothers comedy, in which an airplane crew takes ill and the only person who can land the plane is an-ex-pilot with a fear of flying. Ballona Dunes Restoration Party and Freshwater Marsh Interpretive Tour – Saturday, 9:30 a.m. Help restore wetlands by planting native flora and removing invasive plants. Learn wetland ecology in a free guided tour. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the parking lot behind Gordon’s Market, 303 Culver Blvd., Playa del Rey. (310) 306-5994.
Native American Storytelling & Craft Workshops – Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon. Tongva Park continues its first season of cultural programming with family-friendly Tongva and Chumash storytelling and craft workshops. Free. Tongva Park, 1615 Ocean Ave., Santa Monica.
Bike, Walk and Scoot Festival – Saturday, 10 a.m. The Culver City Walk & Rollers teach kids essential bicycle and pedestrian safety lessons in an engaging event with activities for all ages. Free; continues until 2 p.m. at Culver City Middle School, 4601 Elenda St., Culver City. (310) 842-4200.
Venice Beach Summer Fest – Saturday, 10 a.m. Celebrate summer with live bands, vendor booths and food from all over the world near Windward Avenue on Venice Beach. Continues Sunday.
Old Fashioned Day in the Park – Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. See vintage yachts, antique classic cars, motorcycles and ship models at Burton Chace Park, 13650 Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey. Free. (310) 429-3028.
