Did you think you missed your chance to experience the Proud Bird restaurant at LAX?

The iconic restaurant had planned to close in November and then December due to a rent dispute with LA World Airports, but a tentative agreement has been reached allowing the restaurant to stay open at least one more year.

About the Proud Bird from the Daily Breeze:

The Proud Bird, which specializes in steaks and seafood, is located on Aviation Boulevard in Westchester, just east of two parallel runways — Runways 25R and 25L — on the south side of the airport. It’s a popular meeting point for plane spotters, or people (often tourists) who take pictures of airplanes landing and taking off. The restaurant maintains a large collection of historic airplanes parked outside the dining room.

If the agreement is approved by the Board of Airport Commissioners in January, Proud Bird will be open at least until January 31, 2015. Don’t wait, though. I know from personal experience that reservations will sell out long before the actual close. 😉
